Background. Having its multisystemic effect СOVID-19 leads to liver disfunction. Objective. To assess the functional state of in patients with COVID-19 during periods circulation different SARS-CoV 2 strains. Material and methods. The object study was 180 who were hospitalized at Grodno Regional Infectious Diseases Clinical Hospital. divided into two groups: 1st group (n=51) - those examined Omicron strain (2022), 2nd (n=129) – treated over 2020-2021 (during previous strains). laboratory analysis included assessment biochemical sonographic parameters. Results. In first group, dyspeptic syndrome, hyperbilirubinemia hypoalbuminemia more often recorded. second had pronounced manifestations severe respiratory failure alongside significantly hyperenzymemia according aspartate aminotransferase (AST) level. Conclusions. Hyperbilirubinemia hypoalbuminemia, being common strain, may be regarded as a manifestation acute mixed-etiology reactive hepatitis. predominance due AST other strains accounted for by cytopathic virus drug-induced damage.
